This is not a Brian van Rooyen project, it just happened on his watch. There is talk of an agreement inked on the 8th June last year with 21 signatures. This is not a one man decision, this is a unanimous decision and the Spears took it to the market and signed sponsorship deals based off this and now SA Rugby close their eyes to this and the damage that will resonate in rugby circles throughout the Southern & Eastern Cape? This aus sports company are the same company involved with the Brumbies and the Force and the Aus cricket side I think - they must really think we are useless back here in the good old republic of backward conservative blinkered views. We still see all these transformation issues ... the Spears would have been the middle ground between the political left and the conservative right that run the game. it could have been a success, had the right administartors, sponsors and good old SARU come on board.
