Rossouw ruled out
20 Jan 2007
Springbok Danie Rossouw will miss the Vodacom Bulls’ warm-up match against the Lions due to a a slight injury.
Rossouw was due to start in Saturday’s game at Loftus Versfeld but was pulled by management on Friday as a precautionary measure.
Francois van Schowenburg, who had an outstanding 2006 Absa Currie Cup, comes into a star-studded Bulls outfit that already boasts 10 Boks in the run-on side. His place in the cutrain-raiser will now be occupied by Wilhelm Steenkamp, who captained last years Bulls U21s to glory.
The nature and extent of the injury is yet to be confirmed, but it should not effect Rossouw’s chances of playing in the Vodacom Super 14.
Rossouw was one of the Springboks’ standout players on the recent end-of-year tour, where he played in the loose forwards. However, with the Bulls possessing a wealth of talent in this area and still missing Bakkies Botha in the second row, he is expected to revert to the role of tight-forward in the coming regional tournament.

Have no ideal, hopefully he will be back soon.
The early stages of the comp are actually meaningless but pays to have the squad at full strength.
