The Aussies have form on cheating in the scrums. Remember the step to the left on the hit to depower the scrum a few seasons back ? It was Jake White’s repeated call on this that made the refs take note and expose the Aussie front row.The greatest quote was from the French linesman the day the Aussie front row was destroyed in the UK vs England or ? Wales . He ran in from the touchline as Dunning ” collapsed ” and said ” Mr Refereeeee , but they are too weak , too weak “. So let the ABs speak out. And so should we.

I skimmed through the game and checked out several wallaby scrum put-ins.
Its pretty bloody clear that Burgess spins that ball in sideways as Hansen pointed out.

Now, not to sound like a total n00b, is that illegal? It seems like a pretty obvious trick.

Watch the Aussie props, if they bind on the arm,their first reaction
is not to scrum forward but to pull the opponents arm down creating
the impressions that the opposing prop is collapsing the scrum.
It usually happens on the side which is out of the refs.view.

The aussies cheat at scrumtime. They have to. The time at Twickenham when Jutge was having none of it and they had no choice but to scrum legally, they had props stretchered off – courtesy of Sheridan, mainly – the same props playing today. Dunning, Baxter….I can’t believe refs still fall for it
