To give Gurthro and Werner Kruger a 7 & 6 respectively, after they were smashed by the Cheetahs front row dont make sense. Also thought that Hougaardt had a good game. I have to disagree however with the comments (not the rating) on Jaco Pretorius. On attack he had a very quiet game - I think he only touched the ball 4 times the entire game (when he dived over the line after Habana was penalised, once on the wing when he chipped, once when he played Hougaard and once when he actually stepped inside and took contact). To say he ruined the Bulls' attacking play or ran sideways as per Ryan is a bit harsh. On defense he was solid and didn't miss a tackle all afternoon. One rating I certainly agree with is that of Fourie du Preez - he is surely the best rugby player on the planet at present. I agree Lepel, the ratings are a bit of a joke. Just based on the little bit that gets written about the players it is clear to see these things are nonsense. Kruger struggles (as stated) and gets the same rating as Corne Uys, who was a constant threat (as is also stated). Jaco Pretorius ruined any chance for the Bulls backline (as is stated) and gets the same as Bosman, who was the creator for the Cheetahs. If a guy plays crap, then give him the appropriate rating, regardless of whether his team won or not.
