Cheers lad.

And so much for all those doubters who said the game meant nothing, some of those tackles were absolutely massive ! and 2 AB citings would seem to back that up. Im sure they wont complain about that tho.

I agree, Lawrence is probably the best there is at the moment. But you cant have doubt 1 minute and then be sure enough to award a try the next. No, thats poor decision-making. Otherwise, bar a few minor incidents he was good. But that 1 decision - which can affect a result - was very very poor.

Hynes clearly loses the ball after grounding. Only debatable point was whether the grounding hit the line. I sympathise with the Jap TMO because not 1 camera angle was conclusive on that point. In fact, probably the worst camera work for the whole game I can remember. They might be abl to invent the stuff, but they cant use it. Atleast they have 10yrs to practise before RWC 2019.

#16 GrantsBatty: Yes great game but I can't agree on your impression of the ref, Lawrence. He was quite decisive when the TMO started to go on about Hynes losing the ball as you seem to have seen. I did not see Hynes lose the ball and neither did Lawrence who right there. All he wanted from the TMO was a ruling on the grounding of the ball inside the field of play and when this was lost in translation he did the right thing and awarded the try.

Lawrence allows the game to flow and unlike a whole lot of referees involved in the Air NZ Cup does not miss forward passes or become whistle happy like his namesake Bryce!

Really enjoyed the Bledisloe match, lots of running with ball in hand and not overuse of kicking like we've seen during the TriN, both teams being positive. ABs definitely deserved the win, by far the better team. Not a great start for new Capt Elsom, dropping his 1st ball and being anon around the park, cant remember him being so quiet. His opposite McCaw was quite amazing, showing he is a player with skills far exceeding just the breakdown, and what incredible hands for Sivi's try ! And taking many highballs too, awesome match. AB lineout also much improved and Donnelly is showing he can lift his game to Test level. So'oialo had a mixed match, some good and bad. Still think he offers more, when on form, than Read does. Tialata had 1 of his better matches, solid in scrum and making lots of tackles. Hore was also back to his old form, a couple of hand steals when pressing hard on D, and accurate throwing. Henry will be pleased. Cowan also had a great game, is slowly growing in to the role. DC was his majestic self, what a player. Conrad awesome, must start whenever fit. Mils was mixed but made that great break that lead to Conrads try. Jane looks the goods, havent really rated him before but he draws defences very well. Have to give my MoM to McCaw tho, he was simply in everything, Long live the King !

Digby Ioane and Genia look the goods for Aus. Ashley-Cooper is consistently 1 of their better players. Giteau threatened throughout, I reckon he'll tear the Poms apart.

Must say that a ref who requires a TMO 1 minute because he was unsure only to give it the next deserves demotion, you cant reward doubt to the attacking team. He was also blowing some earlier pens that were simply wrong eg Cowan kicking a ball that was clearly out of the scrum ?!

Well done ABs, great start to the tour. Also well done to the new coaching roles - lineout and kickoffs were better, Smiths defence held well with only the dodgy Try-NoTry ruling breaching it (looked like Hynes lost control to me before it hit the line), and attack was excellent other than 1 or 2 obstructions. Bodes well.

#7 cab: Agree, the Wallabies actually lead the breakdown turnover count by something like 5-2 at halftime and that was with George Smith warming the bench! The average age of the Wallaby side is 22 - compare that to some of the other ageing sides. No, Deans is on the right track and sooner or later the Wallas are going to get the results they deserve - could be as early as next Sat vs England!

#6 wackers: before the game Australia had 85.15 and next one - Ireland - 83.27, so Aussies will retain their 3rd place as there are almost 2 pont difference between them.

I guess Australia on Monday will have about 84.00 - 84.50 points.

#5 schalla: They are just because all six losses come from higher ranked teams and in SA case - with a healthy rating point difference between them, therefore Aussies have lost just a few rating points each time.

No doubt, as soon as they lose in Europe (to the lower ranked teams), they will crash down in the ratings.

yip seems Deans not having the run of form many punters suggested.
Lost 4 to Abs and 2 to Bokke.

They are still a good side tho, been a bit unlucky v ABs, looked good at breakdown today and the match was close.
