Boer to lead Gloucester

Saffa flank Jake Boer will captain Gloucester against the Wallabies on Tuesday.

A stirring reception is expected as Boer will make his first appearance at Kingsholm ground since his return to the club earlier this year.

Boer will be assisted by the experience of prop Pierre Capdevielle and locks Will James and Adam Eustace in the pack, while flyhalf Carlos Spencer and centre Tim Molenaar will provide some leadership in the backline.

This will be the first match between Gloucester and the Wallabies since 1908.

Boer is now a sky sports pundit. His credentials show: ‘Western Province 2007′? Is that right?

and so it came to pass that a boer would lead an english outfit(although not too many english in it) against an Australian onslaught whose general be a gentleman from the land of the long white cloud..

just a poetic way of pointing out how professionalism has made the game one big blur of whose from where and loyalty to ones region comes 2nd to economics.

    Hey Province

Did you ever consider that he has improved since then? You sound like one of those folks who always complains. Have you watched any of the games he has played since arriving in the UK?
Get positive man! he is representing the country over there & the fact that he will lead an English club against Aus should make you feel some pride.
