Manhunt for Januarie ends
3 Nov 2009
Ricky Januarie’s warrant of arrest has been withdrawn because of miscommunication that led to his absence from court last Friday.
The warrant was issued after the Springbok scrumhalf and his lawyer Frikkie Erasmus failed to appear in Bellville Magistrate’s Court last week for charges of reckless driving and driving under the influence in September 2008.
However, according to Erasmus, Januarie was not supposed to appear in court last Friday as the case was suspended until 22 January 2010.
The extension was made in June this year after an agreement between the lawyers and player.

Oh Ricky… What a mess you are, please Ricky remember the days of putting super aggression and pressure on the opposition flyhalves…. gone are those days Ricky… No more Dunedin magic. You’ve finally been replaced by one of the many better scrumhalves than you.
Go and join Joost.

Very old news.

I take it that you KEO guys did not call the sherif of the court to find out if it is true that the warrant was false. Now it is according to the lawyer and no other investigation by you lot…tsk tsk

It shows the efficacy of our cops, a huge “manhunt” couldn’t result in Ricky’s arrest.
Anybody with a brain would’ve just parked outside his spot and put a dooswijn and a burger on the stoep. The little oompah lumpah would have been out in a shot.

hahaha.
A manhunt for Ricky? why bother . focus rather on the murderers and rapists out there!
Beside i’m sure if they just cruised into his local mcdonald’s they’d find him there. Tucking in.
I dont think ricky would be a very good on the run convict either. On the walk more like it

I honestly didnt know there were big slow useless Fijian wingers to be found anywhere. Watching him be subbed on for that vital last 10mins was like a deja vu moment of watching Ronan O’Gara subbed on in the 2nd Lions Test (whereas I immed turned to my Paddy mate and said “you’ve just lost” despite them being ahead at the time).

there was no manhunt for ricky, just fantasy reporting from keo’s motley crew.keo’s journos knows nothing about rugby and sweet fokkel about sa’s court system.warrants issued and subsequent withdrawals are everyday occurences in the south african court system.the biggest culprit is normally miscommunication between the lawyers and the state prosecutor.

good riddance by by ricky by by ….
