15 Nov 2009
A late Ryan Lamb penalty gave London Irish a 12-11 victory over the Cardiff Blues on Sunday.
The decisive kick, which came five minutes from full-time, gave Irish their first victory in the LV Cup. The Exiles led 6-3 at the break, and continue to punish the Blues’ indiscretions thereafter.
In other results in the tournament, Wasps beat Gloucester 21-14 in London, while Harlequins downed Newcastle 19-8, Gcobani Bobo playing off the bench in the latter match.
