Boks lose No 1 ranking

The Springboks have slipped to second on the IRB rankings after their defeat to France last Friday.

After the weekend results, the All Blacks have jumped the Boks into first place with their victory against 12th-placed Italy at the San Siro. Other climbers include France and England, who are now fourth and sixth respectively after their wins last weekend.

These movements see Ireland (fifth) and Argentina (seventh) fall one place each.

Scotland have also moved into ninth position, while Fiji drop to 10th.

IRB Rankings:

1 New Zealand 90.52
2 South Africa 89.97
3 Australia 85.63
4 France 83.20
5 Ireland 83.20
6 England 81.07
7 Argentina 80.49
8 Wales 80.39
9 Scotland 76.06
10 Fiji 75.69

This demonstrates the truth about rankings, they’re a load of ****. SA beat NZ 3-0 yet NZ are ahead. Such nonsense.

Well i hate to say this as it is a real told youy so after the 3N’s but just happened alot earlier than I expected and I think alot of others expected as well. What SA has to worry a bout now is not regaining the number one but what happens if Aust win the next two and the Boks lose. Wales and Arentina are snapping on Englands heels as well…this quite funny at the end of the day for some :-)

#60 captain fantail: Mate blogging 101…ignore the site idiots, it feeds their rage. Not everyone has an opinion worth reading. Sift through the vitriolic ****, and find the people who enjoy rugby for rugby and not some tribalistic siege mentality.

I cringe when I read these one eyed posts.

FYI my teams for last weekend…Pumas Abs Boks Samoa Fiji Walabies… maybe I am one eyed.. SH v NH

    #51 Valkyrie:

and how could you possibly know it was ‘kuk’ unless you had ?

  • 63.WakaNathan: Reply to this comment

In the latest Poll doing the Keo rounds, the majority do not believe Valkyrie to be any older than 17yrs. Presumably this has as much to do with his overuse of ‘fkkin’ as it does with his preoccupation of intimate relationships with sheep.

And for all those Safas about to board that Barracking Bus, a quick reminder that he’s also the 1 who wished a “career-ending injury” on J.Smit only hours prior to k.o. Boks vs France.

Yep, you can have him alright.

#52 Big Hit: You forget (conveniently) that SA were more than 3 points behind NZ in June. Thanks to those wins (and Frogs favour) they catched NZ and leapfroged them.

Until Frogs now and Wallas previously did favour to NZ.

#52 Big Hit: France have beaten SA 3 times in a row now, one must wonder why they are lagging behind SA in the rankings, according to your logic. Surely they must be no1 team, no? ;)

Seems the All Blacks only need to refrain from drooling all over their jerseys to get awarded the No 1 spot.

Fat Boy BOD the Flying Kopstamper nominated for Player of the Year…

Shane Williams actually AWARDED Player of the Year last year, ahead of some Italian nobody…

Bakkies suspended for cleaning out a ruck…

The likes of Wayne Barnes continuing to be placed in charge of professional rugby matches…

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you… the International Rugby Board!
