Pocock rested

Robbie Deans made three changes to his match 22 for the clash against Scotland on Saturday.

Deans has decided to rest David Pocock, who was the Wallabies’ Man of the Match last weekend against Ireland. This sees veteran George Smith promoted to the starting line-up, while Richard Brown finds a place on the wood.

Pocock was praised for his impressive performance in the 20-all draw at Croke Park, but Deans wants the flank to be fresh for the end-of-year tour finale against Wales next weekend.

In the other change, prop Sekope Kepu replaces Matt Dunning on the bench.

Australia – 15 Adam Ashley-Cooper, 14 Peter Hynes, 13 Digby Ioane, 12 Quade Cooper, 11 Drew Mitchell, 10 Matt Giteau, 9 Will Genia, 8 Wycliff Palu, 7 George Smith, 6 Rocky Elsom (c), 5 Mark Chisholm, 4 James Horwill, 3 Ben Alexander, 2 Stephen Moore, 1 Benn Robinson.
Subs: 16 Tatafu Polota-Nau, 17 Sekope Kepu , 18 Dean Mumm, 19 Richard Brown, 20 Luke Burgess, 21 Ryan Cross, 22 James O’Connor.

I hate to say it – but Quade Cooper has looked really good on this tour. Some silly errors against ireland, but has generally done well in the 2nd 5/8 role. Nice balance with Gits….

    Aussie should win by 20…..
