Pumas back in business
Argentina brought Scotland down to earth with a 9-6 win at Murrayfield.
Scotland were expected to secure their third successive win against Argentina after their heriocs against the Wallabies a week ago and considering the Pumas’ disappointing form on tour.
The home side, however, failed to fire in the second stanza, which saw Argentina overturn a 6-0 deficit.
Scotland were on the attack in the early exchanges, but the visitors defended strongly and restricted the Scots from crossing the chalk.
After 15 minutes, Phil Godman scored the first points of the game through a penalty. He had the opportunity to put Scotland into a commanding lead, but he only converted one of his three next attempts.
After the break, Pumas centre Martin Rodriguez levelled the scores with two penalties.
Scotland had their chances to score in the second half, but Argentina’s defence stood firm. This paid off for the Pumas as Rodriguez secured victory for the visitors with drop goal in the dying moments.

Bloody Argies! A limited boring team who play 10 man rugby. Scotland should have killed the game by half time and paid the price when the Pumas dominated the 2nd half. Back to the drawing board for Scotland.
