Racing continue good run

Racing Metro achieved their seventh consecutive win of the season as they defeated Biarritz 23-20.
Racing were minus Frans Steyn and fellow South African Jacques Cronje, but two tries from Fijian flyer Sireli Bobo saw Racing go fifth on the Top 14 log. South African Ashley Clarke started on the flank for the newly promoted club, while Eduard Coetzee played prop for Biarritz.
Coetzee made a good run in setting up Takudzwa Ngwenya’s try early in the second half, which looked set to put Biarritz on their way, but Racing made a strong come back away from home.

Before Frans Steyn arrived Racing almost lost everything. Since his arrival they almost won everything. Thus Frans seems an excellent acquisition.
Did the same happened to Bath?

Dam I wish Steyn was back in SA. A big kicking Fullback makes a huge difference.

Am I right in saying that the Springboks didn’t lose a match this season when FS started at fullback? They lost all the tests which he didn’t start, except for Italy. I think.

@tsiko: Im not sure , but i wouldnt be surprised.Ppl dont realise how vital somebody with a boot like his is for the style of play that makes us so dominant.
When Fdp tries a chip and chase for habana it either comes off and we score, or they pick up and run it back which isnt often, or they boot it to our fb in waiting. the thinf is that they often decided not to kick if steyn was waiting because h’d give it back with interest or have a shot at goal from almost anywhere.
So we would always end up playing in their half of the field, which is the pressure and suffocation approach, which we havent used since he left.
Kirchner hasnt got the same type of boot at all so he doesnt scare the opposition and he only replies with up and unders which we dont always recover.
steyn should be in the green no 15 jumper.Period.
PdV hopefully learnt on this tour that we arent invincible and cant afford to let steyn be excluded.
The top players who are irreplacable should be allowed to play overseas.anybody who has a peer here should be replaced with that peer.
Steyn has no peer in the kicking out of hand department.
