The Kearsney College Easter Rugby Festival has named a strong line-up for this year’s event.
The festival takes place annually at Kearsney College, which is situated in Botha’s Hill (halfway between Durban and Pietermaritzburg).
This year’s competing schools hail from five provinces and include Grey College (Free State), Höerskool EG Jansen, Höerskool Marais Viljoen, Höerskool Monument (Gauteng), Selborne College, Höerskool Nico Malan (Eastern Cape), Höerskool Upington (Northern Cape), Glenwood High School, and Kearsney College (KwaZulu-Natal). The 10th team is the Blythedale/eLan Invitational XV comprising players from KZN’s development programme.
Kearsney College recently announced that Blythedale Coastal Resort of the eLan Property Group (north of Ballito) had signed on as the new title sponsor of the festival.
‘We are thrilled to be able to give something back to rugby development, which complements our long relationship in rugby with the South African Rugby Legends Association’, said eLan CEO Mark Taylor, who’s a Kearsney old boy.
