Fourie commits to Leeds
3 Mar 2010
South African-born Hendre Fourie has signed a new two-year contract with Leeds and still desires to play for England.
The Leeds flank, who has already represented the England Saxons, may be 30, but is determined to reach the next level. Leeds are also intent on keeping Fourie, who scored a try in a match against Wasps last weekend.
‘This is a great place to play rugby and I believe we can make Leeds one of the biggest clubs in England,’ he told BBC Radio. ‘I never wanted to move anywhere else.
‘If Leeds are relegated I hope to still stay at the club, but we are not thinking about that. If we improve in a few areas this club can be very successful. We just need to show people how great it is to play rugby here and then everyone will want to come here.’

If he is playing for Leeds he has f-all chance. That’s like playing for Boland

@Hurricane: @WP_: he did better against SA than Ma’a Nonu last year but then again the Lions were far better than NZ

I think you’ll find Riki played against Adi Jacobs in the centre pairing while Ma’a had to face up to Jaque Fourie. Not the same challenge at all. But you make a good point.
Flutey is a solid player, impresses me
Have your say
