Toulouse smack Stade

Toulouse romped to a 42-16 over Stade Francais and will advance to the European Cup semi-finals.

Stade held the ascendancy for much of the first half, but it was an injury time try by Yannick Jauzion and the goal-kicking of David Skrela that saw them go to a 13-10 lead at the break.

Skrela kicked 24 points in all, and Toulouse scored two more tries through Patrice Albacete and Cedric Heymans.

They will meet Leinster in the semi-finals while Munster will play Biarritz.

Sowerby was very good. Jauzion absolutely outstanding, Albacete, Bouilhou, Kelleher and Poitrenaud did well. All the three tries are superbs.

NO English team in the semi’s. Pretty much sums up the state of their national team.

Toulouse looked very powerful and agree with Jauzy19 on the players that looked impressive, although they were fantastic front and back. Stade was completedly out-muscled and won’t even play Heineken Cup next year.

@Amerifikaner: Although I don’t rate the Guinness Premiership as at the same level as Super14, The Heineken Cup has shown some fantastic rugby, although most of that was played by the French, irish and Welsh Clubs with Northampton and London Irish showing some good form.
