Toulouse claim Euro crown

David Skrela kicked 15 points as Toulouse saw off a late comeback from Biarritz as they won the European Cup final 21-19.

The Toulouse pack, with Shaun Sowerby at No 8 and Daan Human coming off the bench, controlled the match, but they nearly blew the match. A late try from Biarritz centre Karmichael Hunt created a tense finish, but Skrela kicked three penalties and two drops to claim the result.

Eduard Coetzee started at loosehead for Biarritz, while Trevor Hall played lock.

That Toulouse pack were awesome. Biarritz only closed the gap with a breakaway try near the end, ST were otherwise dominant.

Byron Kelleher proving, yet again, that he is twice as good as any NZ-resident scrumhalf.

Really boring game, not dissimilar to the Stormers/Tahs game.
