Boks 44 Wallabies 31
28 Aug 2010
GARETH DUNCAN brought you live commentary from the Tri-Nations clash in Pretoria.
80 mins: SPRINGBOK TRY! From a turnover in midfield, Hougaard spreads the ball to the left to Matfield, to De Villiers, who offloads to wing JP Pietersen and he bursts through for the match-winning try. James kicks the conversion and Rolland blows the final whistle. The Boks celebrate their first Tri-Nations win. Matfield enjoys his moment as he becomes the first Bok to win his 100th Test. The Boks win 44-31!
77 mins: The Wallabies work the ball to the right side of the field but are penalised for accidental obstruction. The Boks have the opportunity to relieve pressure. Eventually, replacement flyhalf Butch James clears play from the Boks’ 22m area.
75 mins: Boks concede another penalty on the halfway line and Cooper kicks play back into the Boks’ red zone. It looks like the home team will need to defend the final minutes.
70 mins: The Wallabies have a lineout a 7m from the Boks’ try line after Cooper finds touch from a penalty kick. However, for the second time in the match, the Boks make a crucial steal in their red zone. This time Matfield reigns supreme.
68 mins: The Wallabies concede a penalty at the ruck after Beale took a quick lineout throw. Frans Steyn steps up to kick the 60m goal attempt and the ball sails over the cross bar. 37-31 to the Boks!
60 mins: Great defence from the Boks. The Wallabies break into the hosts’ red zone after some great attacking play from a 40m lineout. However, they are kept out by some strong defence and eventually lose the ball into touch.
57 mins: BIG HIT! Centre Adam Ashley-Cooper had 5m to go and one man to beat to score, but Hougaard dives in for a try-saving tackle as he dislodges the ball from Ashley-Cooper’s grasp. 5m defensive scrum to the Boks.
55 mins: After three big attempts to the try line from Fourie, Spies and Hougaard, the Wallabies did well to keep the Boks out. They eventually steal possession and run the ball out of their red zone.
50 mins: SPRINGBOK TRY! Who else, but Frans Steyn. The Boks find themselves in a great attacking position as replacement lock Danie Rossouw steals the ball from the kick off. After several phases, the Boks work play to the left and Steyn dives over in the corner. Morne Steyn kicks the difficult conversion. 34-31 to the Boks!
47 mins: Steyn is penalised moments later for the same offence, as he takes O’Connor around the neck. Giteau finds the target from 48m out. 31-27 to the Wallabies!
45 mins: A chance for the Boks to reduce the deficit as hooker Saia Faingaa is penalised for a high tackle on Hougaard in a kickable position. Steyn converts the penalty to make it a one-point game. 28-27 to the Wallabies!
41 mins: Steyn kicks off the second half high and deep. The Wallabies don’t clear the ball but opt to run it from their red zone. After several phases, the can’t seem to find momentum and they eventually kick the ball down field.
Half-time: Boks 24 Wallabies 28
40 mins: The Wallabies run a play from a scrum on halfway, but the ball is knocked forward and Rolland blows for half-time. Much needed break for the players after an action-packed first half.
30 mins: SPRINGBOK TRY! Some positive attacking play from the Boks. They put together 14 set phases before Hougaard snipes through the gap and offloads to No 8 Pierre Spies to dive over. Steyn converts. 28-24 to the Boks!
25 mins: WALLABIES TRY! On the counter, the Wallabies run from their own 22m area into the Boks’ red zone. Habana finds himself isolated as he gathers Mitchell’s chip and Frans Steyn is penalised for an illegal clearance at the ruck. Beale takes the quick penalty tap and offloads to lock Dean Mumm to score the Wallabies’ fourth and bonus-point try. Giteau converts for two more points. 28-17 to the Wallabies!
22 mins: Steenkamp is penalised at the breakdown. Beale is called to kick for posts from the halfway line. The fullback clearly has the distance but his attempt fades to the right and Habana clears.
20 mins: Wallabies concede another penalty, 60m from their goal posts. It looks like a Frans Steyn moment, but Morne Steyn steps up. The pivot lines up the kick and finds the target easily. Great kick! 21-17 to the Wallabies!
17 mins: The Boks have another attacking platform. From a lineout 20m out, they work a backline move. However, Rolland blows the Boks for obstruction as Steyn and centre Jean de Villiers collide during the set play. Wallabies kick for touch to ease the pressure.
14 mins: SPRINGBOK TRY! Five tries, 14 minutes! Where’s the defence? Skipper John Smit turns down a kickable penalty and tells Steyn to kick for touch. It proves to be a great decision and moments later Guthro Steenkamp breaks through the Wallabies’ defence to score from 5m out. Steyn slots the conversion. 21-14 to the Wallabies!
10 mins: WALLABIES TRY! Unbelievable! My fingers can’t keep up! Wing Bryan Habana drops the ball from the restart and O’Connor pounces to score in the corner from his mistake. Giteau finds the target from the touchline. 21-7 to the Wallabies!
9 mins: SPRINGBOK TRY! The Boks work towards the Wallabies’ try line from a scrum in their red zone. Great play from the hosts sees Hougaard dummy a pass to flanker Juan Smith, who runs a perfect angle to score. Morne Steyn kicks the conversion. 14-7 to the Wallabies!
4 mins: WALLABIES TRY! The visitors score from restart after some sloppy defending from the Boks. Fullback Kurtley Beale breaks through the midfield and offloads to the rushing Rocky Elsom. The Wallabies skipper is stopped 5m short but wing James O’Connor dots down after the recycle. Giteau kicks the conversion. 14-0 to the Wallabies!
3 mins: WALLABIES TRY! Referee Alain Rolland penalises the Boks for an early engagement and the Wallabies take a quick tap from their free kick. After strong ball carriers, scrumhalf Will Genia eventually drives over for the try after breaking through lock Victor Matfield’s tackle. Centre Matt Giteau adds the extras. 7-0 to the Wallabies!
2 mins: Boks let off the hook by TMO Shaun Veldsman. It looked like the Wallabies grabbed an early try after some silly errors and poor defence from the home team. This saw wing Drew Mitchell cross the chalk, but Veldsman believes Mitchell fell short and disallows the try. 5m defensive scrum to the Boks.
Kick-off: Wallabies pivot Quade Cooper kicks off high and to centre field, where centre Jaque Fourie gathers possession. The Boks run two set phases before scrumhalf Francois Hougaard kicks a poor up and under. Wallabies have the ball in a dangerous area early on.

C’mon Aussie
28 Aug 2010, 16:29 pm
Boks to win but Aussie to get the bonus point..
means neither side can stir their coffees for another week at least
28 Aug 2010, 16:30 pm
okay i was funny earlier this week but is Toks VD Linde really singing the national anthem today?
28 Aug 2010, 16:30 pm
Can someone tell me how long in hours and minutes before kick-off? I am driving from Wellington to Auckland, its 2.25am and I hope to watch the game on my laptop as I’ve found a decent wi-fi hotspot.
So how long to kick-off please?
The website gives these times but I presume they are US times:
11:00 AM ET South Africa vs Australia 17:00 CET
Go the Boks!
28 Aug 2010, 16:31 pm
32 minutes to kickoff
28 Aug 2010, 16:32 pm
@Monty15(Monty15)-9: its 3am NZ time, 1am Aust time..
28 Aug 2010, 16:35 pm
Boks might win by 50 if it was a hot dog eating contest….
28 Aug 2010, 16:35 pm
@fantasticbarnsmell(fantasticbarnsmell)-8: good question! I don’t know why they let that bigot sing the national anthem…
28 Aug 2010, 16:39 pm
@11. fantasticbarnsmell
Thanks.
If anyone is interested, the website is called atdhe (dot) net (I can’t write its name in the usual manner as Keo moderate postings with a web address in them). But this site is free and has a lot of live sports. Sometimes they don’t work, though, so I have fingers crossed for the rugby.
28 Aug 2010, 16:40 pm
@Monty15(Monty15)-14: you can post the website, just remove the “http://www.” part…
28 Aug 2010, 16:42 pm
@Monty15(Monty15)-14: if not, go to Myp2p.eu …
then choose the live sports tab, then the rugby tab, then locate the SA vs Aus game, click on the little tv and it will list a whole range of sites carrying the game..
28 Aug 2010, 16:45 pm
Tks for that Poppa69. The site I mentioned is atdhe.net, it doesn’t have www in front of it. Gonna turn this off and save battery for the rugby (hopefully). Cheers
28 Aug 2010, 16:46 pm
My! oh! my, Meyer(‘die groot kanon’) to hand out the jerseys, Toks to sing the anthem, 7 Bulls in run on team and 2 on the bench, surely someone to run on the field with ‘die vierkleur’ and 60000, or so, rabid fanatics in attendance what says this is not a re-visit of a misplaced anglo-boer war? Do the Wallabies even know what they are in for?
Maybe in the dressing-room they dedicate the game to ‘Bees’, who would know? Even Schalk is there to shout ‘m… hulle, m… hulle manne as he does in the Stormer room. How hilarious.
However, this is sure to stir the loins of ‘die kragdadige manne’ here, there and everywhere but I hope the result fits the script they think has been written already.

Looking forward to an exciting Test.
28 Aug 2010, 17:03 pm
oh lool Loftus is not a sell out, just shows how many Tshwanians really like Vic.
28 Aug 2010, 17:05 pm
The Boks by 20+ point, it will be a massacre
It will help the ARU to rid of Deans who proved he is not adept to the Test level.
Let’s us cut to a respectable minimum the chest pumping and all these bier soaked moering roars, the Wallabies are much less of a Test team than the current poor Boks.
28 Aug 2010, 17:06 pm
Rolland eh…

28 Aug 2010, 17:13 pm
If the ball was grounded short and then an extra movement, shouldn’t it have been a penalty to SA?

28 Aug 2010, 17:16 pm
**** Muir has completed the process of converting the Springbok defensive system to the Lions’ defensive system. This must be proud day for him.

28 Aug 2010, 17:21 pm
Habna gives Justin Bieber another try!
28 Aug 2010, 17:22 pm
That was not just Habana’s fault.
Absolutely no one was supporting him or covering O’Connor.
28 Aug 2010, 17:22 pm
hier kom ‘n goeie pak slae
28 Aug 2010, 17:22 pm
best scrummy in the world showing Bokkies how its done. Lucky for some overrated Fdp not playing else he’d get shown up just the same.
Then Beale opens up Fourie and De Villiers and Steyn like a can of worms. If De Jongh was on he would have nailed Beale.
Then Smith returns the favor and now Habana coughs it up for O’Connor to dot it in the corner. Already 3 tries to 1 in 11 min.
I warned yesterday that Boks going to get another hiding today. These 100 game celebrations don’t do our preparations much good at all. Its time this Bok team moved on from their ancient game plan. Aussie going to run it all game long.
28 Aug 2010, 17:23 pm
show ponies
28 Aug 2010, 17:23 pm
Habana is really Kak … bring in Basson and drop the has-been
28 Aug 2010, 17:23 pm
Steenkamp try, where are the defences today?
28 Aug 2010, 17:23 pm
I don’t think any Springbok should be allowed to play 100 tests. Retire at 99. This looking like 3 out of 3….Month, Smit, and now Victor. Unless we can stage a comeback. Hedging my bets…..and then Guthro goes over…….try time….
28 Aug 2010, 17:24 pm
what a wierd game, guess tackling is NOT an option…
28 Aug 2010, 17:24 pm
Last time I have seen such a meek Boks was in Brisbane’06. Surely, they cannot be so bad as they look now.
28 Aug 2010, 17:24 pm
Looks like the ABs are the only team that know how to attack and defend in the same game
28 Aug 2010, 17:24 pm
Skietkop – You are just so clueless it is scary
28 Aug 2010, 17:24 pm

28 Aug 2010, 17:24 pm

28 Aug 2010, 17:24 pm
5 tries in 14 min. Try fest game. *** for tat rugby at its best. Record winning score on cards here they keep this up.
28 Aug 2010, 17:25 pm
Kak defense by both sides. Habana the plonker – butter fingers of note.
28 Aug 2010, 17:25 pm
Irrespective of the score today, Smit, Matfield, Spies, M Styen, Habana and J De Villiers need to be dropped. They can try again next year by playing in the Super 15.
28 Aug 2010, 17:25 pm
@Nik Nak(Nik Nak)-86: Month = Monty…..
28 Aug 2010, 17:25 pm
Utterly ridiculous.
5 tries in 14 mins.
Lions vs Chiefs in disguise.
28 Aug 2010, 17:27 pm
@Nils(Nils)-52:
Thanks for that also.
28 Aug 2010, 17:28 pm
contesting in the line-outs is also not an option
28 Aug 2010, 17:29 pm
and we’re going to the world cup?
28 Aug 2010, 17:29 pm
Goosen the Grey Bloem flyhalf could also kick this over…well done Morne….21 – 17 after 20 minutes, including 5 tries.
28 Aug 2010, 17:31 pm

28 Aug 2010, 17:31 pm
Spies has the right idea there – getting involved for once.
28 Aug 2010, 17:32 pm
habana what a doos!!!!
28 Aug 2010, 17:32 pm
This Ally McBeal guy is a jack of all trades.
28 Aug 2010, 17:32 pm
@kaksioek(kaksioek)-95:
Yes and they must be replaced by Maku, Fudge Mabeta, Rose, Demas and De Jongh
28 Aug 2010, 17:32 pm

28 Aug 2010, 17:34 pm
@Brink_015(Brink_015)-106: Not as crazy as you think Maku and De Jongh would be improvements.
28 Aug 2010, 17:35 pm
thank you HABANA!!!!!
28 Aug 2010, 17:35 pm
Mumm try, what is Habana doing?
28 Aug 2010, 17:36 pm

28 Aug 2010, 17:36 pm
Habana is giving k@k players all over the world a bad name
28 Aug 2010, 17:36 pm
Every time I see those coaches I want to puke.
28 Aug 2010, 17:36 pm
again that Kak player Habana gives away 7 points.
28 Aug 2010, 17:37 pm

28 Aug 2010, 17:37 pm
@kaksioek(kaksioek)-111:
Agree
28 Aug 2010, 17:38 pm
look like Aussies might take Bokkies to cleaners just what the doctor ordered to get our centurion overrated quotas out the system once and for all.
28 Aug 2010, 17:38 pm

28 Aug 2010, 17:38 pm

28 Aug 2010, 17:38 pm
@Big Hit(Big Hit)-109: agreed
28 Aug 2010, 17:38 pm
An Oxford definition of “die groot kak”:
Bonus point conceded in 25 mins at home, at altitude vs Australia.
28 Aug 2010, 17:39 pm
F Steyn looks like he could play at 8.
28 Aug 2010, 17:39 pm
Poor Habana, good player having a nightmare.
Senior players and Cappie need to get behind him. Just to good a player to diss.
28 Aug 2010, 17:39 pm
Habana is absolutely trucken useless. The fourth try he cost us in 2 games.
28 Aug 2010, 17:39 pm
At least Rolland seems to be blowing consistently.
28 Aug 2010, 17:41 pm
try Spies
28 Aug 2010, 17:41 pm
nice play Bokke!!!
28 Aug 2010, 17:41 pm
What a game.
28 Aug 2010, 17:42 pm
seen 7s games that havent had so many tries…. must be the rarefied air, neither team have their thinking shoes on..
28 Aug 2010, 17:42 pm
Nice try boys.
Shove that up your hairy inbox all the haters.
28 Aug 2010, 17:42 pm
If the Boks are unfit (as implied by Henry and various commentators and bloggers this past week), they not going to be able to keep this up? And then try time to Spies…7 tries and more to come.
28 Aug 2010, 17:42 pm
Great step and offload by Hougaard. Thank f Papsak is on the bench.
28 Aug 2010, 17:43 pm
What a kick that was by Habana!
28 Aug 2010, 17:43 pm
francois hougaard sublime sidestep!!!
28 Aug 2010, 17:43 pm
Sons of Tswane…..Spies and Houghardt do the deed.
28 Aug 2010, 17:44 pm
thats a bit better. Least they all attacking the advantage line at last. Frim Hougaard through Steyn and Spies they all hitting the advantage line with meaning.
Hougaard the answer to this team. If FdP comes back should go to bench. Hougaard is the rype attacking scrummy we need.
28 Aug 2010, 17:45 pm
@skopskiet(yliad)-140: Now he’s the answer? Remember what you said before last weekend’s game? Shameless.
28 Aug 2010, 17:46 pm
@Nik Nak(Nik Nak)-135: And can the Wobblies keep this up, at altitude?
28 Aug 2010, 17:47 pm
this centre pairing is impotent up until now!
28 Aug 2010, 17:48 pm
@kaksioek(kaksioek)-141: you can’t take anything he says seriously.
28 Aug 2010, 17:48 pm
I see it’s legal to pull down the maul now.
28 Aug 2010, 17:50 pm
good hit Genia, JDV looks well up for it today, no support runners
28 Aug 2010, 17:51 pm
cheers. am out of here.
28 Aug 2010, 17:52 pm
Weird, nevertheless exciting 1st half, at least for me.
28 Aug 2010, 17:52 pm
crazy game
28 Aug 2010, 17:53 pm
Holy mother
thought last week was a helluva game, this is even more frenetic, but why are the south Africans falling off tackles?
28 Aug 2010, 17:54 pm
@cab(cab)-150: They are trying to emulate the Lions. D. Muir is sticking to the formula that worked for him in the Super 14.
28 Aug 2010, 17:54 pm
If anything Bokke hold the highground.
Needed to dig deep to come back from that?
Aussies must be asking themselves if they could…….
28 Aug 2010, 17:55 pm
Circus rugby……….
28 Aug 2010, 17:55 pm
If it is true that defense wins World Cups, then both these teams might as well stay home next year.
28 Aug 2010, 17:55 pm
Lucky try for Spies. He was well in front of Hougaard, starting to stroll back onside when Hougaard went past him and offloaded. Stransky said that Spies was foolowing up like a good 8. What a joke.
28 Aug 2010, 17:57 pm
@Thucydides(Thucydides)-154:
Have to agree what a shambles.
28 Aug 2010, 17:57 pm
I am watching at home in NZ I have never seen a test like this before.
This one will come down to who has their legs still pumping in the last ten.
Some of the defensive patterns by both sides have been dreadful
28 Aug 2010, 17:57 pm
@David(David)-155:
Was he giving the Ab’s a hand job at the same time?
28 Aug 2010, 17:57 pm
Stransky that is…
28 Aug 2010, 17:58 pm
@David(David)-155: I thought it was forward too. Not sure about offside as it was open play. Also thought O’Connor’s first was forward.
28 Aug 2010, 17:58 pm
The referee has been brilliant, today. Very consistent, has allowed the match to flow and has stamped his authority on proceedings. Well done to him. Genia and Hougaard are just class, same going for Smith. Some senior Boks are pissing on their achievements.
28 Aug 2010, 17:58 pm
@David(David)-155:
There is only an offside line once a tackle is completed. There hadn’t been a completed tackle for a while at that stage. Try to know what you’re talking about next time.
28 Aug 2010, 17:59 pm
some average calls from the refs.
Houggard looking good i hope pdv doesnt get the urge to take him off to soon. ditto Juan Smith
Frans should not have started today – Pdv has good reason to drop him after this first half performance
28 Aug 2010, 17:59 pm
At almost every scrum the Bok front row has stood up.
Two tries scored from scrums where the front row stood up before the ball left the scrum. Should not have been allowed.
28 Aug 2010, 17:59 pm
and divvie’s using his vast experience to get the team back on track – right
28 Aug 2010, 18:00 pm
@boktillzero(boktillzero)-163: one kick aside F.Steyn has been ok, Habana has been awful
28 Aug 2010, 18:00 pm
@Auntie Mavis(Auntie Mavis)-164:
Yeah well at least there were no forward passes!
28 Aug 2010, 18:01 pm
But Loftus is a tackle optional area.
28 Aug 2010, 18:01 pm
151 coherence
yep defense not good, but they are at least attacking
28 Aug 2010, 18:02 pm
@coherence(coherence)-162:
Who said he was offside? I said he was lucky to be where he was when Hougaard went past him.
28 Aug 2010, 18:02 pm
Hougaaard better scrummy than FdP, long as he doesn’t try box kicking. Just keep attacking gain line at pace thats the way to win this game. De Villiers bust through the center few times already with no one in immediate support. Boks playing much better attacking game today than all year so far must just keep it in hand and keep probing those break throughs at the gain line like the few tries scored coming from that momentum.
Hougaards playing that type game we’ll succeed, revert to FdP kick n chase rubbish this half and we lose. Lets see what they decided in change room at half time.
28 Aug 2010, 18:03 pm
@boktillzero(boktillzero)-163: should you not watch rugby with both eyes , and not slate for the sake of dislike towards a player or person??
1st try tackles missed matfield and juan smith lets blame smit or f steyn
2nd try matfield and jeaN smith and matfield miss tackle lets blame f steyn and smit
3 try habana misses tackle lets blame smit and f steyn
4th try , habana again stuffs up and does not kick… lets blame smit and f steyn
no doubt this will be the case today
28 Aug 2010, 18:04 pm
Who is going to have more puff in the final quarter hour?
28 Aug 2010, 18:04 pm
Gurthro with a monster!
28 Aug 2010, 18:04 pm
@NZINCHINA(NZINCHINA)-156:
15 well-placed tackle bags would probably create a bigger defensive challenge than this Bok team. (Wallabies not much better.) Terrible to watch.
28 Aug 2010, 18:06 pm
David spies was onside.
He came from behind the ruck.
What on earth are you talking about?
28 Aug 2010, 18:06 pm
this is the francois steyn that everyone was calling for!
28 Aug 2010, 18:07 pm
@coherence(coherence)-162:
Oh, and by the way. Screw you.
28 Aug 2010, 18:07 pm
@Thucydides(Thucydides)-175:
Bokke still should win but if that get 40 or 50 put past them in the process don’t think they’ll be too happy.
28 Aug 2010, 18:08 pm
@David(David)-170: Why then call it “lucky” Meneer. 9/10 understood you to mean differently.
28 Aug 2010, 18:08 pm
It is clear that at halftime Piet Helium gave the very intelligent instruction to kick more,
What a chop.
28 Aug 2010, 18:08 pm
this loose game is suiting Pierre Spies so far
28 Aug 2010, 18:10 pm
@David(David)-178:
Do you want to take this outside?
28 Aug 2010, 18:10 pm
@Big Hit(Big Hit)-182:
Did he make a tackle in the first half?
28 Aug 2010, 18:11 pm
Frans Steyn weakest bok on the park today. Aplon would have been far better decision, but gabbas wanted their gabba in so he’s there as a token player.
28 Aug 2010, 18:11 pm
@Transformation(Transformation)-177:
His French coach was right; he isn’t test match fit
28 Aug 2010, 18:11 pm
@coherence(coherence)-183: David never one to enjoy squirming…..typical No.10.
28 Aug 2010, 18:12 pm
@Kronung(redj)-180:
I said he was lucky because he wasn’t trying to get back to the play, just strolling when Hougaard went past him and offloaded.
28 Aug 2010, 18:13 pm
try frans steyn
28 Aug 2010, 18:13 pm
David
Trying to stroll back onside implies he was offside!
Life is about being in the right place at the right time. No?
But if it makes you feel better it was a VERY lucky try!
28 Aug 2010, 18:13 pm
Awesome pass by Burger leading up to the try.
28 Aug 2010, 18:13 pm
@coherence(coherence)-183:
Nah, I’ll miss the rest of the game.
28 Aug 2010, 18:13 pm
Least Steyntjie was at right place when it mattered. Boks get bonus and go into lead.
28 Aug 2010, 18:14 pm
Some good play from Morne Steyn twice in that try, Steenkamp too, the Bulls are showing up today.
28 Aug 2010, 18:14 pm
@gunther(gunther)-190:
I suppose it is, but in a game of rugby you actually expect a player to know why he’s there.
28 Aug 2010, 18:16 pm
pocock has been a non-factor up to now!
28 Aug 2010, 18:18 pm
Almost every single Wallaby came in from the side at the maul, and there was a dangerous tackle. Result: scrum.
28 Aug 2010, 18:18 pm
why was that not a tip tackle?
28 Aug 2010, 18:19 pm
Steyn also in the right place at the right time…
Damnation we are just so lucky today
28 Aug 2010, 18:22 pm
you mug!
28 Aug 2010, 18:22 pm
Fantastic tackle Hougaard. What a pleasure it is to have a fit scrumhalf.
28 Aug 2010, 18:23 pm
the Boks going out of puff anytime now…
28 Aug 2010, 18:23 pm
Best game Boks have played all season, long last they ditched this cr@p kicking game and decided to go hell for leather for the advantage line. Now we playing rugby again at least where they been so long?
Hougaard saves the day. Aussie break out by Beale and O’Connor something else. If Boks would gave spread their passes on Aussie line we would have been over for try 5 min back
28 Aug 2010, 18:23 pm
@gunther(gunther)-199:
The point I was making was that if Spies wasn’t so lazy he wouldn’t have got the try.
28 Aug 2010, 18:24 pm
@fantasticbarnsmell(fantasticbarnsmell)-198: J Fourie was trying to dive over the tryline. It wasn’t a tip tackle. Should defenders not be allowed to tackle him? Should they get out of the way?
28 Aug 2010, 18:24 pm
Spies almost lucky again…
28 Aug 2010, 18:28 pm
David
And the point I was making is that spies was right up with play. Be overran burgers pass turned land was on the spot for the pass.
Would you have been happier if it had been another player?
Now shut up and enjoy the game
28 Aug 2010, 18:29 pm
Butch getting ready to come on.
28 Aug 2010, 18:30 pm
Crowd not happy to see M Steyn go off!
28 Aug 2010, 18:31 pm
WTF is Butch replacing Steyn for?
Another Helium decision???
28 Aug 2010, 18:31 pm
hugh bladen must be drunk, talking kak the whole game…
28 Aug 2010, 18:32 pm
Great clearance by James.
28 Aug 2010, 18:33 pm
@Transformation(Transformation)-211: He always talks kak. But then again I think he is always drunk.
28 Aug 2010, 18:33 pm
Transie
As usual.
28 Aug 2010, 18:34 pm
spies doesn’t tackle!!!!
28 Aug 2010, 18:35 pm
Did Smit go off for Chilliboy?
28 Aug 2010, 18:35 pm
Seems he did. Well, that’s something.
28 Aug 2010, 18:36 pm
Chilli coughs up a penalty.
28 Aug 2010, 18:37 pm
Another great clearance by James.
28 Aug 2010, 18:37 pm
the boks have gone into defence mode…
28 Aug 2010, 18:39 pm
well dine chiliboy!
28 Aug 2010, 18:39 pm
Chilli doing good work.
28 Aug 2010, 18:39 pm
any idea where i can get live streaming? iraqgoals stuttering too much now…
28 Aug 2010, 18:40 pm
Great play from the chillster.

Time to retire Johm Smit … even Chilliboy plays rugby with more passion these days
28 Aug 2010, 18:42 pm
The butcher!!
28 Aug 2010, 18:44 pm
Beautiful!!!!
28 Aug 2010, 18:44 pm
@kaksioek(kaksioek)-226: Awesome:D
plus, AWESOME JP!!!!!!!!!
28 Aug 2010, 18:44 pm
GREAT FINISH!
28 Aug 2010, 18:44 pm
Hougaardt you beauty
28 Aug 2010, 18:44 pm
Another forward pass
28 Aug 2010, 18:45 pm
Habana is useless
28 Aug 2010, 18:45 pm
Should have been a penalty to the Ozzies there, hands in the ruck and off his feet
28 Aug 2010, 18:45 pm
francois hougaard MOM…
28 Aug 2010, 18:46 pm
guys that was a fantastic game and great win for SA
28 Aug 2010, 18:46 pm
Fitting end for a real gladiator….Vic’s the man.
28 Aug 2010, 18:46 pm
well deserved win because we believed in the attack ball eventually. Didn’t kick valuable possession away and it converted into victory. Brave rugby deserves brave victories. Negative rugby don’t deserve nothing.
Well done Bok’s maybe you got your mojo back again.
28 Aug 2010, 18:46 pm
Great flyhalf play from victor ludorum…
28 Aug 2010, 18:46 pm
Hougaard definetly makes a difference. Should have stayed on against ABs and they would have won.
28 Aug 2010, 18:46 pm
Flattering score. BUT WE’LL TAKE IT!
28 Aug 2010, 18:47 pm
@Transformation(Transformation)-236: defo
28 Aug 2010, 18:47 pm
Bye Bye Januarie,
For my money Hougaard was the man of the match.
28 Aug 2010, 18:47 pm
Jean was magnificent today. Also thought JS had a very good game, put in some good tackles and no mistakes. Chilliboy was good too
28 Aug 2010, 18:47 pm
Butch James defence huge, took momentum out of two Ozzie backline attacks and caused that last turnover for Hougaard’s run and Pietersen’s try.
28 Aug 2010, 18:48 pm
Congrats South Africa and Big Vic the winning centurion! Good comeback. Still problems more than fleas in the dog’s fur, on that performance semifinals at very best.
28 Aug 2010, 18:48 pm
Vic was lucky his 100th was against the Aussies.
28 Aug 2010, 18:48 pm
@JustAnotherFan(JustAnotherFan)-241:
No,they would not have won.
Anyway good game guys,you can start to breathe again,well done
28 Aug 2010, 18:49 pm
Looks like Bok management finally got over ill-timed replacements disrupting rhythm of team. Chilli a good replacement and Morne’s a fair one.
28 Aug 2010, 18:49 pm
@JustAnotherFan(JustAnotherFan)-241:
Don’t get too carried away.
28 Aug 2010, 18:49 pm
@JustAnotherFan(JustAnotherFan)-227: Smit should have been replaced earlier. Preferrably before the Trinations.
28 Aug 2010, 18:49 pm
Nice win Boks. Forwards really played well.
Juan Smith MOTM for me – again.
Frans not amazing, CJ not amazing.
Frankie Goes To Hollywood – terrific.
28 Aug 2010, 18:49 pm
@Hurricane(Hurricane)-249: how do you know, NZ were lucky to get the win in the end, could’ve gone either way.
28 Aug 2010, 18:49 pm
Well done bokke. All I can say is f.uck all you Blue Bull c.unt supporters who booed Bu
tch James when he came on.
28 Aug 2010, 18:50 pm
Hougaard’s performance breathing new fire into this Bok team. Lifts the rest of the team immensely. Much like Joost at his peak.
28 Aug 2010, 18:50 pm
Australian women beating SAfrican counterparts 55-0
28 Aug 2010, 18:51 pm
Man, WHAT A GAME!
Juan must be MOM, followed closely by F Hourgaard.
Smit only on for 60 – good call, Chilli looked like an animal – very hungry
Still maintain Smit as a possible 1,2,3 is invaluable – he also had a good game today.
Habanana looked out of sorts again, as dit F Steyn
Matfield – CONGRATS!
28 Aug 2010, 18:51 pm
@Big Hit(Big Hit)-254:
I dont,like you dont so settle down
28 Aug 2010, 18:51 pm
@SodaJoe(SodaJoe)-253: Smith was superb it’s true, best blindside in the world at present.
28 Aug 2010, 18:52 pm
@Hurricane(Hurricane)-259: then why did you say they wouldn’t?
28 Aug 2010, 18:52 pm
much better defence in the 2nd half, Chilli much better for me than John. I would not be singing any praises though
28 Aug 2010, 18:53 pm
MOTM-Juan SMith,IMO
Habana must surely go now!
Butch James,beautiful in the last minutes he was on
J.Smit had a solid performance,well done
J de Villiers,very consistent in mode of tackling-high!haha
Go BOKKE!!
28 Aug 2010, 18:53 pm
@Big Hit(Big Hit)-261:
Its my opinion,no problem is there?
28 Aug 2010, 18:54 pm
well done Bokke, never ever thought youd score more tries then the Aussies..
congrats Big Vic
28 Aug 2010, 18:54 pm
Time to drop Habana
28 Aug 2010, 18:54 pm
255 John Galt
Yep,a disgrace they deserve the 2 finger salute for booing James !
28 Aug 2010, 18:54 pm
@Hurricane(Hurricane)-264: nah it’s cool hurricane
@kaksioek(kaksioek)-219: @gunther(gunther)-228: glad I wasn’t the only one who noticed, SA could’ve done with a few of those hits late on against NZ last week.
28 Aug 2010, 18:55 pm
@Doomsayer(www.pollwar.co.za)-258: What did people expect from Frans Steyn. The bok coach decided to keep him out the game for months. Then he is brought back from holidaying in the Med during French off-season to produce miracles? Get real, plonkers.
28 Aug 2010, 18:55 pm
John Smit is just a passenger, definitely need Bismarck to come back
28 Aug 2010, 18:55 pm
@Big Hit(Big Hit)-260: Well that’s a tough call. Rocky is also excellent. Kaino right now very good too. Dusetoire?
But I will take Juan. Thank you very much.
28 Aug 2010, 18:55 pm
@John Galt(John Galt)-255:
Ahh, the high intelligence of Natal supporters.
28 Aug 2010, 18:56 pm
again wankers crying for smits head pathetic when a player has a great game and still gets insulted
chilli did good but also gave away 3 penalties , so tell me how come we always only pick on one???
skopskiet and again you show ur arrogance and racist views
F steyn although not great was not bad at all
habana made mess up after messup but i guess never blame a none white huh???
28 Aug 2010, 18:56 pm
Congratulations Boks, drop Habana
28 Aug 2010, 18:56 pm
@kwas(kwas)-269: Agreed, for a guy who’s not played for some time he looked ok
28 Aug 2010, 18:57 pm
Much better from the Springboks, thought they would fall off in the second half and they stuck to it. Well done to you, keep focus.
Going to have some humble pie now.
Cheers
28 Aug 2010, 18:57 pm
@danuk(danuk)-270:
John Smit should be appointed coach and Bismarck back at 2.
28 Aug 2010, 18:58 pm
@Big Hit(Big Hit)-268: BH most of these morons only here to insult butch f steyn or smit
f steyn never lost in a bok jersey
butch tackled the living **** in the short time he was on
28 Aug 2010, 18:58 pm
@SodaJoe(SodaJoe)-271:
Soda Big *** licks Bokke bum 24/7, having said that Smith is playing superbly.
28 Aug 2010, 19:01 pm
GARETH DUNCAN brought you live commentary from the uncomfortable Tri-Nations match in Pretoria! Hmmm… John Smit better get comfortable with sitting on the bench. Chilli added some bite when he came on. He harried the living hell out of the Australian breakdown. That disruption was critical.
28 Aug 2010, 19:01 pm
Well done Boks. Great passion and much better attack. Lots of turnovers and spilled ball tonight. Makes for an exciting game as it opens it up, but neither coach will be super pleased with the control and protection at the breakdown. Deans less pleased than PdV I expect. Much ‘looser’ game than the Bok/AB one, but glad I got up at 3:00am to watch it.
28 Aug 2010, 19:02 pm
Well done Boks. That dread-locked loser should never grace a Wallabies jersey again.
28 Aug 2010, 19:03 pm
Respect to Div for post match. I will have a second helping of pie. But one game won’t change it, still hope to see improvement.
28 Aug 2010, 19:03 pm
Snotskiet Yliad,put away your tik pipe…..come out of your sisters room.Jou gespikkelde 28 !
28 Aug 2010, 19:05 pm
Juan Smith deserves his own range of biscuits. What a biscuit!
28 Aug 2010, 19:05 pm
I would’t drop Habanero now?
Got to stick with the greats through their tribulations.
He will be back with a bang, just needs some coaching.
28 Aug 2010, 19:06 pm
PDV HAVE ANSWERED HIS CRITICS ! BOKS ARE BACK AND BEST IN THE WORLD !
28 Aug 2010, 19:07 pm
@rugbygenius(rugbygenius)-287: THE EARTH IS FLAT! DON’T GET TOO CLOSE TO THE EDGE. CAPS LOCK IS AWESOME!
28 Aug 2010, 19:08 pm
@rugbygenius(rugbygenius)-287: We only JUST beat the Ausies at altitude,wouldn’t go that far yet
28 Aug 2010, 19:09 pm
Whats the use in arguing with someone else’s opinion. All you can do is out forward your arguments and leave it to the others to formulate their own. In my opinion JS had a very good game. Any skipper who can lead his side back from a 14-0 deficit (not due to his making) has to have some credence. Ok I know its not only up to him but I didn’t see the Bokke panicking except for Habs. I feel sorry for Habs because it seems as though he is playing for the record. When you watch the try scored by Frans again take notice of Habs reaction in the background as the ball almost went to him. He was disappointed not to score and he has to get that ****** off his back (so to speak) and he will be back.
28 Aug 2010, 19:09 pm
@kaksioek(kaksioek)-288: sorry I’m happy that we hav come back and announced we are not the toys of rugby but the champs. NZ is lucky we dont play with them again . We would klap them properly
28 Aug 2010, 19:09 pm
@rugbygenius(rugbygenius)-287:
With an IQ of the mid 40′s you should change your name
28 Aug 2010, 19:10 pm
BisopsOD yes Chili boy hassled the Aussies,put in a huge counter shove
28 Aug 2010, 19:12 pm
@rugbygenius(rugbygenius)-291: bwahahahahahahaah
hang on
bwahahahahahahahaha
28 Aug 2010, 19:14 pm
@wpforever(wpforever)-293: Yet there was a marked deterioration in the fixed faset. Guppie started to battle with Chilly next to him.
28 Aug 2010, 19:14 pm
By the way I would like to open the argument about playing a “fetcher” again. How many of you noticed Pocock today. How effective was he and if he wasn’t Why?……
Playing a fetcher means you effectively have one less forward to get you accross the gain line and if the attacking side can get accross the gain line continuously it is easier for your support to get there and what happens is that the fetcher is nullified. SA have always been better playing direct rugby , my only beef is that they need to improve their driving skills, body positions and attacking the gain line at pace.
From a ruck you don’t have the same space as from a lineout or scrum so you need to be taking that ball at pace.
28 Aug 2010, 19:20 pm
@Brink_015(Brink_015)-292: @poppa69(poppa69)-294: Ja be jealous of our success but PDV has the last laugh in Pretoria. We are the champions of the world again.
28 Aug 2010, 19:21 pm
@bananaboy(bananaboy)-296: If you have no fetcher, like the Boks, you have less ball and you make more tackles. This is tiring and you tend to lose a lot. You can have ball carriers coming out of your ears, but if you have no ball for them to play with it is pretty pointless. Life would be a whole lot easier for the Boks if they had a fetcher to compete at the breakdown.
28 Aug 2010, 19:22 pm
We need Bismarcks athleticism and abrasiveness !
Why do our Boks always want to be glory boys,several times we could have scored but got stopped short because of egoistic play,pass,it`s a 15 man team game,we have so many gifted players…..more so than NZ and AUS…..yet the ball handling skills,knock-ons and decision making is way behind the other Southern hemisphere sides
28 Aug 2010, 19:23 pm
@rugbygenius(rugbygenius)-291:
“NZ is lucky we dont play with them again . We would klap them properly”
If today’s defensive display is anything to go by, the only thing the Boks would klap is the empty spaces through which yet another All Black ran.
28 Aug 2010, 19:24 pm
Bokke winning again
ja lekker
well played wallabies, certainly left nothing out there
pity our okes canttake the game to them like that when we tour
but it’s winning ways again, yes yebo
28 Aug 2010, 19:26 pm
@Thucydides(Thucydides)-300: ja be jealous of our boytjies. Count yourself to be lucky kiwi. We have Chilli , we have Francois , we have JPP . We are unstoppable. The fires of Sprinbok passionate has been lit.

Calm down rugbygenius….are you Snotskiet Yliads alter ego ?
28 Aug 2010, 19:30 pm
Great game Juan Smith – close-run for MOM
But how many “You know” is it possible to put in an interview?
28 Aug 2010, 19:31 pm
@wpforever(wpforever)-303: Calm down meneer? Afetr the critics said what they said? Never sir. I am a PROUFD SOUTH AFRICAN . Today i celebrate . My wife , my childrens and me . We are so proud and we realise that we cannot be stopped now.
28 Aug 2010, 19:32 pm
@wpforever(wpforever)-299:
It’s not just the passing or lack of it. It’s the fact that we’re just not supporting the ball carrier when they break the line. There should be players running into space off both shoulders.
28 Aug 2010, 19:32 pm
Juan Smith what a boykie !
28 Aug 2010, 19:34 pm
Well done boys, you showed some heart there. Lots of work to be done, but for me the highlights as a team were:
Victor and Flip getting amoungst the opposition ball at lineout time.
Francois playing with an infectious energy that really led the way.
All the loose forwards playing really well as unit, no compromise, no quarter given.
Great finishing when required in front of the tiuch line. Bar one, but great defence from the Wallabies.
Smitty looked great, Pierre looked the way he should, Morne played better, Jean improved, soem old form returning for many of the older crowd.
Brain is the one really worrying aspect. It’s the wood for him next week for sure.
Scrums need some more work, CJ looked ok for me.
28 Aug 2010, 19:35 pm
306 David,indeed so and that is down to the coaching in SA i reckon
28 Aug 2010, 19:52 pm
smitty looked great????
WTF!!!!?????
28 Aug 2010, 20:06 pm
Well when Smit and pal were subbed the Bok scrum stopped standing up.
28 Aug 2010, 20:22 pm
Smit was fine, rallapelle was very good when he came on, great steal and huge tackle.
Boks going to win rwc2011, my money is down,rest smit and matfield and they come back like juan smith, refreshed and ready, get Bismarck, brussow, beast, bakkies and FdP in the squad and u got a helluva team
28 Aug 2010, 20:22 pm
@wpforever(wpforever)-309:
You’re right. It should be second nature.
@grant10(grant10)-310:
Yes, he got through a lot of work. Don’t let your bias cloud the facts, Grant.
28 Aug 2010, 20:28 pm
@grant10(grant10)-310: I actually thought he had great game, particularly by recent standards. He’s not a flashy player, never has been. But got through a lot of work in the tight stuff and looked a lot more involved. For me a much better performance.
28 Aug 2010, 20:36 pm
@David(David)-306:
Exactly. When Beale made his break, he kept defenders on his right shoulders interested and then looped a pass left.
Our guys don’t create options on either side. We run into opposing players too often, not into spaces.
That’s why a guy like Drew Mitchell is great to watch – you expect something to happen when he has ball in hand. Our guys can certainly learn a thing or two.
28 Aug 2010, 20:58 pm
@I am a stormer(I am a stormer)-315: Juan has that ability. He can step off both feet. Very few can do that at pace. Makes him a rare commodity these days….
28 Aug 2010, 21:04 pm
@rugbygenius(rugbygenius)-305:
You have won 1 game and now your unstoppable? By all means celebrate but you seem to was ahead of yourself. As a kiwi what i saw of tonights game does not scare or worry me at all.
But again well done
28 Aug 2010, 21:07 pm
@stormersboy(stormersboy)-316:
He is exciting to watch. Would like to see more of him at 13 with a playmaker like JDV at 12.
Puts pressure on Jaque – but then again that’s good.
28 Aug 2010, 21:11 pm
@rugbygenius(rugbygenius)-302: bwahahaha isnt it time for bed young man?
The Bokke have lost to the ABs 3 times this year, suddenly after one win against an Aussie side at home with the advantage of altitude, is not really anything special to crow about, as most level headed Bok fans will agree with..
especially when the side you beat hasnt beaten NZ in 9 straight games..
guess you run out of meds huh?
28 Aug 2010, 21:14 pm
@David(David)-313: thanks dave well said
its amazing how some dont have the spine to be fair and give credit where its due
as good as chili played one must remember ur comming on when others are already tired so ur meant to make an impact
2ndly chili also gave away 2 or 3 penalties
smit gave away zero
but thanks all the same
28 Aug 2010, 21:16 pm
@sharks_lover(sharks_lover)-320: Smitty had a wonderful average game.
28 Aug 2010, 21:20 pm
Our little ladies lost 62-0 against the Argentinians, who-haa.
28 Aug 2010, 21:27 pm
@sharks_lover(sharks_lover)-320:
It’s a matter of giving credit when credit is due.
I feel for Chilli, because talent needs experience, and he’s had very little at CC, S14 or Bok level. I can see what Jake and PdeV see in him, but he needs game time, which is running out.
28 Aug 2010, 21:41 pm
@David(David)-323: agreed
and one never asks more then that , just give credit where its due
its the same as some calling chili a quota , he aint no quota, is he 2nd best no , but he still no quota
28 Aug 2010, 21:48 pm
What I find interesting is that nobody”s mentioned Rollands performance. He blew the game at the breakdown totally differently to the one against the ABs. This time he was strict on players going off their feet regardless of whether they were the attacking or defending side, whereas in the AB game he allowed the team going forward (ABs) to seal off the ball.
28 Aug 2010, 22:00 pm
@David(David)-325: Yip interesting that David. Maybe the spider webcam camera was there???? Can’t make too much errors with that watching you.
Well that could be why he reffed different. Or Paddy spoke to him. Cause he was totally useless in the game we played against the ABs. That camera catches everything. Refs will be found out by making too many bad calls.
28 Aug 2010, 22:06 pm
@Puma(Puma)-326:
I reckon he was brought up to date with how the IRB wanted the game to be reffed. The NH conditions make the ref more sympathetic to players going off their feet at the breakdown.
Anyway, night all.
28 Aug 2010, 22:09 pm
@David(David)-327: Probably could be David. Night mate. Still a win for the Boks was great no matter how it was won. I will take it. Proud of the boys.
28 Aug 2010, 22:51 pm
Well done to your Bokks, not a lot either team can take away from today, Didn’t like the ref but do we ever, We wouldn’ be worrying the Kiwis, either of us
28 Aug 2010, 23:02 pm
@Hurricane(Hurricane)-317: normally i feel very scared watching the kiwis play between world cups but somehow very relaxed during the world cup.wonder why?
29 Aug 2010, 00:20 am
All Blacks have nothing to worry about after that game.
Two poor teams having an off day.
Anyway, well done to the Boks
29 Aug 2010, 03:32 am
@bluejay(bluejay)-330:
So your scared 3 years and 10 months every 4 years,what a shame.
Anyway the point i was making that the game wasnt a great game as in standards. Defense was utter rubbish,Oz and the Boks will get beaten in the NH playing like this. England would beat both these teams as would Ireland.
29 Aug 2010, 06:01 am
These kiwi bloggers are getting ahead of themselves must he’ll boring in NZ for you been here with your worthless comments
This game was played at a faster pace than last weeks epic but no as much physiical stuff
See smittie and flip still carrying the scratch marks from last week kiwi eye gouging
Funny that paddy has decided only now after his team win the trinations to send out a warning to players going off their feet
Too late Paddy u ****
29 Aug 2010, 06:41 am
@KevinRack(KevinRack)-333:
I take it your comment is aimed at me.
I think instead of skimming through and reading only what Kiwi bloggers say,my posts were aimed at what Rugbygenius has been saying on this thread. Again do yourself a favour and read what he said and see where i am coming from first
29 Aug 2010, 07:27 am
Kevin stop whinging like a child, its pathetic.
Look at the brand and style the Kiwi’s are playing coupled with great execution, compare that to the boring tired style and gameplan of the Bok coupled with poor execution, very poor fitness for this level and tell me that the results didn’t go the way they should regardless of any vast imagined refing conspiracy.
29 Aug 2010, 11:59 am
has anyone noticed how Our Kevin has recently added a change-ball of ‘Kiwis gouging’ to his stock ball of ‘Kiwis cheating’ ?
A bit of variety is a good thing.
29 Aug 2010, 12:56 pm
Hey what’s happening with Bees? Did he do it? Was the cop provoking him?
29 Aug 2010, 12:59 pm
@Boertjie(Boertjie)-337: he will only get to see the magistrate tomorrow, otherwise he is stewing in the tjoekie for the weekend…
29 Aug 2010, 13:02 pm
Cheers Boet! What a mess…
29 Aug 2010, 13:17 pm
And all completely his own doing, killing an innocent father who leaves behind two children merely for the crime of doing his job.
No sympathy, if the facts are what they appear to be, in that he was driving drunk, thought he was above the law and brutally bashed a cop, I think the real question is why didn’t they shoot the thug?
29 Aug 2010, 13:37 pm
@Boertjie(Boertjie)-339: yeah pretty big mess…
29 Aug 2010, 18:09 pm
Aussies ran out of steam in second half.Would have done better if Moore was kept on field.Hougaard deservedly man of the match.
Made two tries and prevented one,worth 21 points to the Boks.
Good to see a Bok showing a bit of flair.Now to find a suitable replacement for Habana and the Boks may offer sterner opposition to the Kiwis.
30 Aug 2010, 00:13 am
Houggard has started his Bok career well. Also contributing the queerest dive since Greg Louganis was a boy in his debut against the Blacks in JoBurg last week. Milked a penalty (I think the local vernacular is ‘cheated’) for it and applauded for his efforts.
Suddenly Jimmys bogan-do dont look so lemon either.
30 Aug 2010, 00:15 am
@Black Panther(Black Panther)-343: Sort of Christian Cullen meets scrumhalf.
He’s not called Frankie Goes to Hollywood for nuffink.
30 Aug 2010, 00:16 am
And Juan Smith was MOTM.
30 Aug 2010, 00:35 am
@SodaJoe(SodaJoe)-344:
sorta….
he’ll do well to be half the player that FdP is. He didnt have it all his own way, reading the postmatch accolades here has been interesting to say the least. Genia slipped in easily for a try and was prominent in Wallabies early domination. But his enthusiasm is infectious and he has serious wheels, always helps.
30 Aug 2010, 00:39 am
@SodaJoe(SodaJoe)-345:
J.Smith is the best blindside on the Planet in this form. Elsom was before he left for Leinster but hasnt really fired since returning. And Kaino has been consistently superb in a more dominant pack. But great to see Juan back, he would be the best pick as Capt should Smit retire prior to RWC’11.
30 Aug 2010, 00:43 am
@Dex(Dex)-335: There are only 2 styles of rugby, winning and losing, nothing else matters to fans
Have your say
