Boishaai triumph, Gimmies falter

Paarl Boys’ picked up a 39-33 win against Oakdale while Paarl Gym’s poor season continued with a 16-11 defeat to Outeniqua.

Boishaai were well tested by their Southern Cape visitors, but they showed why they were this year’s top Western Cape school to persevere for a good win. For Gimmies, however, it was a seventh loss of the season as they went 16-11 down in George.

In other results, the big upset of the weekend was Kuils River’s De Kuilen downing Rondebosch 14-13. It was a shock considering the latter went undefeated at the recent Cape Schools Rugby Week. Paul Roos also looked back to their best as they thumped Bishops 43-15.
