Super Rugby Round 7 Betting Preview – Bulls & Stormers divide opinion

Published

on

The Oracle has won five successive handicap bets on the Bulls and has picked the Bulls on the handicap again. He’s calling it his SuperMax Bet of the Weekend. Keo isn’t convinced. He’s got the Stormers to win by 10 points in Pretoria.

Super Rugby

Chiefs v Highlanders

Oracle: I don’t like the Chiefs this year. I like the Highlanders here. Call: Highlanders +1.5 at 2.5 units

Keo: For me it’s not about likes or dislikes but about form and pedigree. The Highlanders have more. They’ll win a close one.

Rebels v Hurricanes

Oracle: Rebels double digit plus at home? Really? Unbelievable, this one is ripe for the picking, this Rebels team has caught my eye and they have impressed me in just about every game. I just cannot see this Rebels team losing by more than eleven to this Hurricanes team especially at home. If this game was in Wellington I would take this handicap about the Rebels too!! Call: Rebels +10.5 at 4 units & Rebels on the board at 33/10 at 1 unit

Keo: Hurricanes to win but only by one score.

Blues v Sharks

Oracle: The Sharks are rubbish, the Blues are rubbish but I think the Sharks will stay in this one. Call: Sharks +13.5 at 1 unit

Keo: I am going to give the Sharks one more chance to front, physically handle the Blues and profit from the chaos of the most inconsistent team in the competition. I am going Sharks for an outright win.

Brumbies v Waratahs

The bookies have the correct favourite. I am not confident here, however I will have a go. Call: Waratahs -2.5 at 1 unit

Keo: Waratahs to win by 10 plus.

Bulls v Stormers

Oracle: I am still rubbing my eyes here, this price is too unbelievable to process. I am now 5/5 calling the Bulls this season on the handicap, this game will be no different, the bookies have the wrong favourite here and this one deserves to be punished. If your pocket can allow, this game is primed for a SUPER MAX play. This game is my BET OF THE WEEK!! Call: Bulls on the board at 5/4/10 for 5 units

Keo: The Oracle’s love affair with the Bulls will take a beating this weekend. The Stormers will beat them by 10 points.

Lions v Crusaders

Oracle: This is a tough Sunday afternoon game to call. Neither side is convincing me. I will have a small tentative play here, based 100% on price.Call Lions on the board at 2/1 for 0.5 units

Keo: An Easter Sunday game at Ellis Park. Who the hell thought that would fill the stadium? Crusaders to edge Lions in a high scoring match.
