  The Stormers kept the Lions tryless in their 28-6 victory at Newlands on Friday. The Lions had the better of the territory initially and dominated the scrums for much of the contest, but struggled to use this platform to their advantage. Their lineout was also largely outplayed by that of the Stormers, and coach John Mitchell will be livid with the turnovers his side conceded in great attacking positions.   Heyneke Meyer was on Friday named coach of the Springboks. Four years after Meyer fell victim to political engineering that installed the inferior Peter de Villiers ahead of him, the 44-year-old strode through the doors of the Sports Science Centre in Cape Town with a tense expression.   The International Rugby Board are considering hosting some of Wales' World Cup matches in 2015 at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. England won the right to host the event and organisers are expected to make use of some of the country's numerous world-class football stadia.   The EP Kings have taken former Griquas flyhalf Earl Rose on a month-long trial. The 28-year-old was released by Griquas at the end of the 2011 Currie Cup campaign after only spending one season with the Kimberley union. Rose will now hope to impress First Division losing finalists the EP Kings over the next four weeks to earn a contract.   The Springboks will play Argentina in their first game of next year's Rugby Championship, the four-team southern-hemisphere tournament replacing the existing Tri-Nations. An agreement confirming Argentina’s participation was signed in Auckland recently by the Sanzar Joint Venture partners after several months of negotiations with the Unión Argentina de Rugby (UAR) and the International Rugby Board (IRB).   England's caretaker coach Stuart Lancaster has a long-term plan for the Roses and is hoping to extend his tenure beyond the Six Nations. Lancaster succeeded Martin Johnson after England's disastrous World Cup campaign and is contracted until the end of the coming Six Nations tournament. A brilliant chip by flyhalf Francois Trinh-Duc fell well for Bosch, who showed great strength and determination to break the final tackle and score. Bosch struck on the hour to take the game away from Stade Francais, who had shown signs of coming back via the boot of scrumhalf Julien Dupuy.   The Varsity Cup will be trialing a new points-scoring system in 2012 in an attempt to force teams to play a more attacking style. Conversions will be worth three points and penalties and drop-goals will be worth just two points in the 2012 competition.
