World Cup – Week 1 Betting preview
Oracle
My best bet of the tournament is Handré Pollard to be top points scorer at around 4/1.
I expect South Africa to beat NZ, nevermind the handicap. Argentina are also good things in to beat the French. Lastly Italy will have too much for the Namibian outfit, minus its my play here.
Main Bet: (Click to bet) – Springboks, South Africa (+6.5)
Multi Bet: Group multi: South Africa, Wales, Ireland & Argentina all top win their groups. Anything over 40/1 is value
Value Bet: South Africa & NZ to be in the final
Goodthing
A couple overall bets for the World Cup that are strong possibilities.
Sevu Reece top try scorer at 6/1 (Sbu Nkosi provides some value at 17/1 particularly against the weaker pool opponents where most of the tries will be racked up)
Main Bet: – (Click to bet) South Africa (+6.5)
Time of 1st try in 15 minutes Japan/Russia – 6/10
France Outright – 8/10
Australia Handicap -7,5 1st half – 8.5/10
Total Odds: 4.33/1
Value Bet: South Africa win by 1-12 including – 2.75/1 against NZ
Multiple thoughts: Japan will have a go from early on, that is the nature of their game. With a handicap of -40, this backs that up.
France are World Cup specialists if you like. They will be up for it. Too much class for Argentina in my opinion.
Australia will score plenty with Lealifano at 10. Fiji won’t roll over but there lack of structure will catch up with them.
