Du Preez twins to join brother Rob at Sale
There will be three Du Preez brothers – including twins – and identical Curry twins at Sale Sharks next season.
South Africa twins Jean-Luc and Dan du Preez will join their brother Rob at Sale Sharks for the start of the start of the 2019-20 Premiership season before returning to Super Rugby side the Sharks.
Back-row Jean-Luc, who has signed on loan, played six games in a short spell with Sale after Tom Curry sustained an injury during autumn internationals last year.
Fellow forward Dan will be the third Du Preez sibling to feature for Steve Diamond’s side, having also joined on loan.
Scrum-half Rob is a permanent member of the squad after he signed a three-year deal with Sale in February.
Jean-Luc and Dan will head back to Durban ahead of the Sharks’ 2020 Super Rugby season.
It was already a family affair at Sale before the du Preez brothers arrived, with twins Ben and Tom Curry also in the squad.
Diamond also recruited prop Coenie Oosthuizen from the Sharks on Monday, having added Bulls forward Lood de Jager to an already considerable South African contingent last month.
