Canes blitz Blues 36-15
The Hurricanes put five tries past the Blues for a bonus point win of 36-15, securing their 6th consecutive win against the Blues, and 4th at Eden Park.
The Blues carried no momentum from last week’s win against the Waratahs as they subdued to a Hurricanes side that were described by the New Zealand Herald as “visitors that were not on top of their game”. This marked the Blues 16th consecutive loss to a New Zealand side.
With a half time lead of only 14-8, the Hurricanes seized hold of the match around 60 minutes and cruised to a victory, with Matt Proctor scoring a full-time try to secure a bonus point win. The Blues managed only two tries in their mild performance.
