Bok Befok: 2025’s ode to the world champion Springboks

Robbie Wessels and Francois van Coke have smashed it out the park with their 2025 collaboration track and music video, Bok Befok. It is 2025’s ode to the world champion Springboks.
It’s a rowdy, proudly South African love letter to the mighty Springboks.
Bok Befok will be the rugby anthem for the Springboks in 2025. For many, it’s always just been an emotion and expression when South Africans describe their love for the Boks. Now it is an anthem from two of South Africa’s most popular, loved and irreverent musicians.
When two of South Africa’s most beloved rock rebels and rugby junkies link up, you know it’s going to be nothing short of befok!
This isn’t just a song. It’s a gees-bomb. It’s braai smoke in your eyes, it’s your oupa’s Springbok jersey, it’s your neighbour yelling “Vok ja!” every time the Boks score. Robbie brings his classic Afrikaans comedy chaos with that unmistakable Wessels energy, while Francois adds the grit and edge only he can deliver, belting out verses like a man possessed by green and gold thunder.
The video? Jirre, it’s a jol.
Think farm roads, rugby balls, mosh pits, and Springbok flags flying higher than Eben in a lineout. There’s even a cameo from a few ex-Boks (we won’t spoil who), and yes — a sheep in a Bok jersey. Because, why not?
Bok Befok is more than a tune — it’s the soundtrack to every South African’s World Cup-winning flashbacks and future Test match wins. It’s for the oke with a Castle in one hand and a Vuvuzela in the other. It’s for the tannie screaming at the ref from the lounge. It’s for the laaitie painting his face green every Saturday.
Robbie and Francois didn’t just drop a song — they bottled the Bokke-feels and blasted it through the speakers of Mzansi’s soul. Whether you’re on a Gauteng highway or deep in the Karoo, one thing’s for sure: this anthem is gonna make you proud, make you laugh, and most of all — make you Bok Befok!
