Human disappointed by players’ stupidity
Bulls coach Pote Human was expressive in his disappointment surrounding his players’ display in their 22-10 home loss to the Jaguares.
The Bulls, who have had a season of fair success thus far, were ill-disciplined and erratic in throwing away what seemed to be a well worked home ground win.
After going into the final ten minutes of the encounter with a ten point lead (20-10), the home side proceeded to be reduced to 13 men in a poor display of discipline that saw Tim Agaba and Conraad van Vuuren yellow carded.
The Jaguares were quick to capitalise, through two late tries from replacement Domingo Miotti, which took them two points ahead and ultimately to the score that the match would conclude with.
Post-match, Human was vocal in his views of the display:
“It’s very disappointing.”
“I thought we had them in this one … we had so many opportunities that we didn’t finish.”
“The discipline at the end cost us. You can’t play against a team like this with 14 men and then 13 at the end.
“It was ridiculous; the stupidity of the players. We have to rectify that and come back harder. It is a huge setback for us.”
