Late Kockott penalty earns Castres victory
Castres overturned a 13-point deficit in the second half to beat Lyon in Saturday’s Top 14 action.
Rory Kockott’s 79th-minute penalty ensured reigning Top 14 champions Castres made it two wins from two in the new season as they beat Lyon 19-16.
Lyon held a 16-3 advantage at the break before Castres staged a fightback.
Thomas Combezou’s two tries at the start of the second half brought Castres level and Kockott kept his cool at the end to boot over the winning points with a 40-metre penalty.
Of those who have played two games, Stade Francais are the only other team to have won both matches as they secured a 20-8 home success over Bordeaux-Begles.
