Boks must convert chances into points says Faf
Springbok Scrumhalf Faf De Klerk has called for the side to be more clinical than their previous encounter with the Wallabies, when the meet in PE on Saturday.
Earlier in the tournament, South Africa crept to a disappointing loss against Australia, away from home, after failing to capitalise on numerous opportunities created.
While they bounced back to a stunning historic 36-34 win the next weekend against New Zealand, De Klerk has made it clear that they will be looking to be more clinical come the Australian clash.
“We saw in Brisbane that we created many chances, but we failed to convert enough of those into points. That’s maybe due to inexperience and perhaps a lapse of focus. It’s something we are working on,” said the half back in talking to the media.
“Our conversion rate must improve because Australia is a quality side, they have dangerous strike runners and will hurt you if you don’t take your opportunities.”
