Du Preez twins join Sale on permanent deals
It will be a family affair at Sale Sharks next season after twins Daniel and Jean-Luc du Preez agreed to join brother Robert.
Twin brothers Daniel and Jean-Luc du Preez will join Sale Sharks on a permanent basis, the Premiership club have announced.
The South Africa internationals will be reunited with older brother Robert at the AJ Bell Stadium, after Super Rugby side the Sharks agreed to release them from their contracts.
The duo had initially agreed short-term deals with Sale but have now committed their futures until 2022.
“The twins joining the club on a permanent basis really completes the jigsaw in our pack so we can properly compete and challenge for silverware over the next few seasons,” said Sale director of rugby Steve Diamond.
“We are delighted to have reached an agreement with the Sharks and I look forward to welcoming the boys to Carrington in August.”
Daniel du Preez will be featuring for Sale for the first time, while Jean-Luc and Robert each enjoyed loan spells in 2018-19.
“I’ve heard some really good things about the club from Rob and Jean-Luc and can’t wait to link up with Sale in the winter and play some rugby in the Premiership with my brothers,” Daniel du Preez said.
