Bristol 21-26 Wasps: Carr’s late try seals surprise
Wasps claimed their second win of the Premiership season by overcoming Bristol.
A late try from Nizaam Carr saw Wasps edge Bristol 26-21 in the Premiership on Friday.
Carr crashed over down the right in the final minutes at Ashton Gate as Wasps ended a three-game losing run and claimed their second win of the season.
It took until the second half for the game to come to life after Bristol, who were aiming to go top of the table, led 3-0 at the interval.
Wasps looked on track when they led 19-13 with less than 20 minutes remaining, but a Harry Thacker try and Callum Sheedy’s 76th-minute penalty had Bristol back in front.
But Carr scored the match-winner for Wasps and Jacob Umaga, who finished with 11 points, added the conversion.
