Fickou’s tries help Stade Francais get back on track
Centre Gael Fickou has now scored three tries in two games for Stade Francais, the club he joined from Toulouse in May.
Gael Fickou ran in two tries for Stade Francais as they bounced back from their loss to Clermont Auvergne by beating Toulon 37-10 in the Top 14.
France international centre Fickou moved to the capital ahead of this campaign after six years with Toulouse and he crossed in the 42-20 reverse to Clermont in the third round of games.
He claimed a first-half brace against Toulon on Sunday, while Laurent Panis and Hugh Pyle also went over in a comfortable Stade Francais victory.
In Sunday’s other game, La Rochelle became the latest club to inflict a defeat on Perpignan, who, like Grenoble, are still winless in this year’s competition.
La Rochelle only held a 10-3 advantage at the interval, but three of their five tries came in the final 11 minutes as they also sealed a 37-10 success.
