In-demand Cipriani extends Gloucester contract
Danny Cipriani has been linked with a host of Premiership and Top 14 clubs, but the fly-half will be staying at Gloucester.
Danny Cipriani has ended speculation over his future by signing a new contract with Gloucester.
The fly-half has had an impressive first season with the Cherry and Whites after making the move from Wasps.
Cipriani, capped 16 times by England but currently out in the cold, has been linked with a host of Premiership and Top 14 clubs following some outstanding displays.
However, Gloucester on Tuesday announced the 31-year-old playmaker will be staying at Kingsholm.
There was no word from the Premiership high-fliers on the length of the mercurial Cipriani’s new deal, but it is reported to be a three-year contract.
Johan Ackermann’s side are third in the table and on course for the play-offs with five matches of the regular season to play after winning four of their last five games.
