Slick Sharks sink Bulls
Curwin Bosch excelled as the Sharks won for the ninth successive time in the Currie Cup and ensured a home semi-final. Western Province crushed Griquas in Cape Town.
The Sharks won 18-5 in a wet Durban after leading 12-0 at halftime, while WP took revenge for an early competition defeat against Griquas with a resounding 53-27 success.
Bosch was very good in testing conditions and showed his class in creating winger S’busiso Nkosi’s try and also kicking a late drop goal to seal the win. The talented flyhalf, who recently made his Springbok debut, was named man of the match.
The Cheetahs on Friday night edged the Pumas 33-32 to keep alive their top four aspirations.
