Bull’s battered with injuries for Sunwolves game
The Bulls, set to face the Sunwolves this weekend, have suffered numerous knocks to their squad through injury.
Inside centre and captain Burger Odendaal is the biggest blow, after injuring his calf in Sunday’s SuperSport Challenge defeat to the Lions.
Prop Trevor Nyakane remains sidelined with the same rib injury that prevented him from taking part in the June series against England, while winger Travis Ismaiel is still nursing a shoulder niggle picked up in the Springboks’ test against Wales in Washington.
The side also suffers some long term blows as Lizo Gqoboka (toe), Lood de Jager (chest) and Tim Agaba (bicep) have all been ruled out for the remainder of the Super Rugby season, meaning they will also unlikely be able to partake in Rugby Championship preparations.
Roelof Smit will not feature again this season as he battles with a knee injury and Hendre Stassen and Marco van Staden have also been ruled out for the Sunwolves clash.
