All Blacks big guns back for Boks
The injured trio of Sonny Bill Williams, Sam Cane and Ryan Crotty have all been declared fit and ready to return come Saturday’s clash against the Springboks.
The news comes as a relief for the side having just had Brodie Retallick and Ngani Luamape ruled out for six and three weeks respectively.
The number 12 berth is now not a worry as both Crotty and Williams are available for a return.
Williams however is the only player of the three to have not yet featured in the Rugby Championship, as he has been nursing a shoulder injury. Scans have revealed that he is recovered and ready to return.
Iain Foster told Reuters “Sonny had his scan yesterday and he’s all clear, ready to go, but he was sick this morning so he didn’t train, but the good news is his scan’s all clear.”
“He’s in contention to play, it’s just some bug or something.”
Crotty and Cane will both be making a return from concussions, having been cleared of symptoms.
