Aplon and Reinach as end of year prospects?
Springbok castaways Gio Aplon and Cobus Reinach may just be making a return to the international fold come the November end of year tour.
It was reported in Netwerk24 that Rassie Erasmus could be naming the duo in his squad, following the Currie Cup final this week.
Aplon, at 36, has played 17 tests for the Boks (the last of which in 2012) and currently plies his trade at fullback for the Toyota Verblitz in Japan.
Reinach has ten tests to his name at 28 and plays for the Northampton Saints in England.
The pair would act as cover for star duo Faf De Klerk, who seems unlikely to be available, and Willie Le Roux, who’s availability still remains in question.
